RUUD DOKTER, THE FAI’S HIGH PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR, was in Donegal this weekend when he endorsed Finn Harps’ Schools Programme.
Dokter was at Saturday night’s SSE Airtricity League of Ireland First Division match between Finn Harps and Wexford Youths, partly to carry out an assessment with Ollie Horgan, the Harps manager, who is doing his UEFA ‘A’ Coaching Licence.
Dokter met with coaches and members of the Harps Schools Programme during his visit (pictured above). The Harps delegation conducted a presentation to the Dutchman.
“Ruud has built up a wealth of experience in delivering the world famous Dutch model of player development,” said the Harps Secretary, John Campbell.
“Rudd oversees the non-senior international men’s programme, the women’s senior and underage international programme, coach education and player development.
“This includes the Emerging Talent Programme. His experience and encouragement is a great addition to the Finn Harps Schools Programme and we are so delighted that such a high calibre figure in the world of soccer and sport was so complimentary of our programme.”
Finn Harps Schools Programme is run in association with main sponsor, Kelly’s Toyota, Letterkenny and Mountcharles.
