FORMER FINN HARPS striker Ruairi Keating opened his Galway United account last night as the Tribesmen hit top spot in the Premier Division.
A late flurry saw Galway defeat Bray Wanderers 4-0 at Eamonn Deacy Park.
Keating signed for Galway in the winter from Sligo Rovers having spent the first half of both the 2014 and 2015 seasons at Harps, where he scored six and five League goals in the respective campaigns.
Galway defeated St Patrick’s Athletics 3-1 on the season’s opening night and followed it up in style last night.
Kevin Devaney put them one up in the 61st minute and Tommy Dunne’s side finished with a real flourish.
An own goal by Paul Finnegan was followed by Vinny Faherty’s strike on 86 minutes and Keating weighed in when he turned home a Ryan Connolly cross a minute later.
Goalkeeper Conor Winn, who was Harps’ number 1 in 2014, kept a clean sheet for Galwat last night.
