A brace of first-half goals by Crumlin United’s Alan McGreal condemned Letterkenny Rovers to exit from the FAI Intermediate Cup.

McGreal’s double sank Rovers in a repeat of the 2016 final, when Crumlin were 5-0 winners at Aviva Stadium.
Rovers had a late consolation goal by Declan Sharkey and the USL side returned to Donegal cursing their luck.
McGreal put Crumlin ahead midway through the opening half when Liam Brady’s shot came off the goal-frame and McGreal fired home.
McGreal doubled the lead when he headed home from a Craig Walsh cross.
Conor Murphy rattled the Rovers crossbar before Rovers were denied a penalty when Darren McElwaine appeared to have been upended.
Rovers got a goal when Sharkey turned home, but Eamonn McConigley’s men were out of time.
