In damp conditions, a youthful Glenea Reserves picked up their first point of the season in this hard-fought draw with Castlefin.
In the first half the away side had the aid of the breeze and started brightly but the home side restricted them half chances from set pieces. As the half progressed the home side came more into the game but were unable to create any clear-cut chances.
In the second-half, Castlefin continued to press but were still unable find a way through and were made to pay on 65 minutes when Dean Gallagher’s through ball released Martin Doohan and he fired home from the edge of the box.
Castlefin pushed hard for an equalizer but were kept at bay by some resolute defending until 85 minutes when a Keith Nelis header was saved but bounced in off a Glenea defender.
Best for Glenea were Conor Coyle and Dean Gallagher while Keith Nelis was a threat throughout for Castlefin. Referee: Michael McFadden
Milford started better in this match played in Pairc Achla Fintown. The more experienced Milford got a nice start with a penalty in first 5 minutes. They stayed on top for the rest of first-half and added three more goals. Fintown improved in the second half and after Milford got another goal John Molloy scored a nice free kick then Shan Mc Millan scored a nice header but fintown couldn’t convert a lot more chances.
Daniel Mc Nulty was unlucky not to open the scoring, watching two early efforts narrowly miss the target. Emmett O’ Donnell and Dominic res also had chances to break the deadlock.
Mc Nulty did finally unlock the Gweedor defence when he converted a Higgins’ cross.
He added the game’s only other goal late on to keep the points at Station Road.

Convoy Arsenal 2 Bonagee United 3
Convoy opened the scoring after three minutes when Darren Harvey shot home after good work from Fergus Carson. Bonagee drew level on 20 minutes when Aidan Mc Laughlin headed home.
Just after the hour mark, Convoy took the lead through John A Kee when Bonagee failed to clear a corner. Three minutes later it was level again when Noel O Donnell converted at the near post.
Bonagee won it on the stroke of full time when Jordan Rodgers steered home a volley from a corner kick. Good team performance from Convoy while Eamonn Curran and Chris Toner were best for Bonagee.

Curragh Athletic 1 Copany Rovers 1
This game was played in perfect conditions at Curragh Sports Complex. The game started well with both teams playing nice football and In the 24th minute, Copany broke the deadlock.
That was the kick Curragh needed and from then on it was all Curragh but they couldn’t break a stubborn Copany defence so at half-time it was 1-0 to the visitors.
In the second half, Curragh started fast and they finally broke the visiting defence when Tim Callaghan got a well-deserved goal after 49 minutes and just after the hour mark Curragh hit the crossbar.
A fine display from the indomitable Copany keeper to keep it at 1-1 until full time.
Gweedore United 2 Deele Harps 3
This game played in Gweedore in good enough conditions saw the visitors go home with a good three points. In the early stages of the game United were dominant in possession.
However, against the run of play, it was Deele who scored to make it 1-0 on 10 minutes with a number of errors in the United defence leaving Aidi Gallagher with a tap-in from close range.
There were a number of chances for the home side after going behind and Deele could have extended their lead in after 21 minutes however Matthew Harkin in the United nets saved well.
The home side got on level terms after the half an hour mark when Matej Haluska tapped in from close range after good play to make 1-1.
Two minutes later United extended their lead when Ciaran Mc Fadden finished well past David Arthur to make it 2-1 at half time.
In the second half the home side continued to play well with a lot of possession however Deele looked dangerous on the break. Deele equalised after 60 minutes, Paul Martin scoring a good free kick from 20-yards.
As the home side continued to push they were caught on the break after 82 minutes when Conor Friel finished well to make it 3-2 securing the three points for Deele.
A good team performance from United with Cathal Mc Gowan excelling for Deele on the day.
Letterbarrow Celtic 7 Dunkineely Celtic 0
Goals from Gavin Mulreany and Dillion McGroary secured the points for Letterbarrow
The industrious Ian Campbell was not to be out done by his fellow Inver men and broke the offside-trap to slot past the helpless Dunkineely keeper.
Letterbarrow upped the pressure before half-time and the Mulreany got two more well-taken goals and another from Ian Campbell.
Paddy Ward then finished a good team goal to complete the scoring.
