The Terry Casey Memorial was played last Saturday the 11th of July.
The format was 18 hole singles stableford over the Sandy Hills Links with the top 12 players qualifying for a further 9 holes over the Valley that evening.
The winner with a 27 hole aggregate score of 54pts was Pete Gallagher playing off 10. The runner up was Mickey McBride (17) with 52pts bot, the gross winner was John Boyce. Third place was John Dowds (16) with 52pts.
The evening 9 hole prize was won by Martin Sweeney (18) with 19pts.
Two’s – Pete Gallagher, Patrick McClafferty, Steven Dooey  and Gary McClafferty €25 each.
The club competition on Sunday the 12th was won by Enda Kennedy (+1) who returned a four under
par 67 for a 68 nett. His round included birdies at the  2nd, 4th, 8th, 11th, 16th & 18th as well as an eagle 2
at the drivable Par 4 13th. His only mistakes included a three putt on the tricky 12th green and a missed green
on the Par 3 14th costing him a triple bogey 6.
The runner up was Marty McDermott (4) with 69 nett bot and third place was Garvin Toye (15) with 69 nett.
Two’s – Enda Kennedy x 2, Sean Boyce x 2, John Doran, Garvin Toye, John Doran Snr & Marty McDermott €5.50 each.
The Catherwood Cup is scheduled for Saturday the 18th of July with a regular club competition on Sunday the 19th both over the Old Tom Morris Links.
The Generations Cup will be played for on Saturday the 25th with a G.o.Y club competition on Sunday
the 26th of July. An up to date G.o.Y table is posted on the members notice board in the Golf Pavilion.
The Pavilion Golf Shop sponsored Leitrim Cup will be held over the August bank holiday weekend,
Saturday 1st – Monday 3rd.

Team News: The Rosapenna Mixed Foursome team play Nuremore G.C at Newtownstewart on Monday the 20th of July at 4.30pm. Best wishes to team captains Bernadette North and Peter Smyth and to the entire panel.
The Rosapenna Donegal League team are due to play Buncrana in the second round with the first leg scheduled away for Wednesday the 15th. Good luck to team captain Joe McHugh and his team.
The Rosapenna Junior Cup team played Nuremore G.C at Omagh Golf Club on Monday evening winning the tie
3-2 to reach the Ulster semi final where they will play either Donaghadee or Lurgan at a neutral venue.
Congratulations to team captain Marty Carlin, his back room staff and the entire panel on reaching the Ulster semi final.
The Minor League team had a great home result of 4-1 against Bundoran last Thursday the 9th which left
the tie at 5-5 with Rosapenna winning on holes. Rosapenna now play the winners of the Letterkenny vs Portsalon fixture. Congratulations to team captain Charlie McBride and to the team.
Good luck to the Over 50’s team who will host Cruit Island at home this Saturday the 18th with the first match teeing off at 3.00pm. Rosapenna won 2.5 matches from 5 away (RP 1 hole up).
The Ulster Cup team travelled to Shandon Park Golf Club last Sunday the 12th and were unable to secure the 3 matches required after the 4-3 home result. Thank you to the captain Denis Harkin and to his panel of players
for their efforts and commitment to the team all season and congratulations on reaching the latter stages of this years competition.
The Rosapenna Junior Scratch Matchplay team played Portsalon at home last Wednesday and lost 4-3 on the day.
The return leg was played at Portsalon on Monday evening where Rosapenna were unable to win the matches
required. Many thanks to team captain John Casey and to the panel of players.
All third stage payments for 2015 golf fees are now two weeks overdue and should be paid as soon as possible in The Pavilion Golf Shop.
The 2015 Michael Bonner singles matchplay draw has been made and is on display on the notice board in the Golf Pavilion. All first round ties must be completed by Friday August 7th. The player on the top of the draw is to make initial contact.
All recent club prizes are available for collection from the Pavilion Golf Shop. Members are encouraged to collect same as soon as possible, the shop is open  seven days from 7.30am to 6pm.
