THERE were beautiful conditions for the return of racing today as the Finn Valley AC Golden Jubilee Series kicked off in Aghyaran, Co. Tyrone.
Tír Chonaill AC’s Martin Cunningham was the first to cross the finish line at 15:43.
The race was the first in the Golden Jubilee Series, which will also include 10k and 10mile events.
This race series is a part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Finn Valley AC, formed in 1971.
Later in the year, the club hopes to have a celebration dinner while a booklet to commemorate the club’s contribution and success is being compiled.
