ST JOHNSTON Cricket Club still have a chance of winning a treble – but face a replay in the Sammy Jeffrey Cup semi-final.
The Saints played out a dramatic draw at home to Glendermott on Sunday.
The Donegal side have already won the Sperrin Springs Cup and the Championship this season.
Their treble quest remains alive after Glendermott forced a tie.
Veteran Alan Macbeth starred again for St Johnston, scoring an excellent 77 runs as St Johnston made 179 for 8 with Michael Rankin posting 23.
Pakistan professional Nauman Anwar led the charge for Glendermott, hitting an excellent 122.
Anwar looked set to sneak the win for Glendermott. However, with the Rectory men needing three wins, Anwar was caught and bowled by Rankin and Glendermott hit a single run from the final ball of the game.
It’s back to the Rectory next weekend for the replay with the winners pencilled in to meet Strabane in the final
