Relief as missing Donegal man is found ‘safe and well’ in Paris

THE DONEGAL MAN reported as missing in Paris has been found and is ‘safe and well’, it has been confirmed in the last few minutes.

Lee McLaughlin, a 19-year-old from Gleneely in Inishowen, had been located in the French capital the morning, the Irish Embassey in Paris has announced.

McLaughlin attended the Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Sweden in Euro 2016 on Monday night in the Stade de France, but vanished from the Hotel Ibis around midday yesterday.

Yesterday evening, Lee was due to fly from Paris to London Luton Airport, but he did not check in or the flight.

However, there is wide relief this morning with the news that the Donegal man has been found.
