HOT ON THE heels of winning her first senior title in January, Austeja Auciute scooped gold in Regional Championships in Lithuania at the weekend.
Auciute took victory in the 64kgs division at the Championships in Kėdainiai.
The 20-year-old stopped Dyva Paula in the first round of their semi-final and then scored an impressive unanimous decision win in her final.
In late January, Auciute won the Lithuanian National Senior Championships in Vilnius.
She was set to fight Laura Jankauskaite in the final, but her opponent withdrew and Auciute was crowned the champion.
Under the banner of Finn Valley ABC, Auciute won nine Irish titles and won a bronze at the Women’s World Youth and Junior Championships in Turkey in 2011.
