LAOIS REFEREE MAURICE DEEGAN will referee the Ulster SFC clash of Donegal and Fermanagh on June 12th at Sean MacCumhaill Park.
Deegan has been confirmed as the man in the middle as Donegal open their provincial championship bid.
From Stradbally in County Laois, Deegan refereed Donegal’s All-Ireland final win over Mayo in 2012 and the 2014 Ulster final when Donegal overcame Monaghan in Clones.
Deegan previously refereed the 2008 All-Ireland final between Tyrone and Kerry.
Deegan’s last time to referee a game involving Donegal was in the 2-10 to 0-11 defeat to Dublin at Croke Park last February in the 2015 Allianz Football League.
Last summer, Deegan was in charge of the Ulster SFC clash between Fermanagh and Antrim at Brewster Park, a game won by Fermanagh 1-13 to 0-8.
