AMID THE HYSTERIA, few at Celtic Park last night were aware of who the Ulster JFC winners would be facing in the All-Ireland series.
As it turns out, Red Hugh’s had to concentrate on the job in hand and they did that job superbly, coming from four points down to overcome Derry’s Limavady Wolfhounds on a 1-11 to 1-9 scoreline.
Now, the Ulster champions are home at a county venue in three weeks’ time to the winners of the British JFC, Dunedin Connolly’s after the Edinburgh side came through an epic final this afternoon in Manchester, where they overcame Neasdon Gaels from London 3-13 to 2-13
Connolly’s welcomed Naomh Colmcille at the same stage in the competition last year, with Ryan McKinley’s team winning 1-10 to 2-6 in the Scottish capital.
