Raphoe’s Rachael Darragh bowed out of the women’s singles competition at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Darragh, fresh from a win over Stella Ngadjui of Cameroon yesterday, was beaten in straight sets by Malaysia’s Soniia Cheah at the Carrara Sports Arena.
In their last 32 game, Cheah took the win 21-5 21-12.
Darragh is still in action on the Gold Coast, however. Tomorrow, she teams up with Sinead Chambers to face Cheah and Shevon Jemie Lai in the women’s doubles last 16.
