RACHAEL Darragh has won through to the last 32 of the women’s singles at the European Badminton Championships in Kiev.
The Raphoe woman came from behind to defeat Marija Sudimac.
The Slovakia took the first game 21-13, but Darragh hit back in style to win 21-17 21-8.
Darragh will face Ksenia Polikarpova tomorrow in her round of 32 tie.
Chloe Magee, Sam Magee and Joshua Magee are also slated for action this week in Ukraine.
Joshua Magee and Paul Reynolds lost out to Christopher Grimley and Matthew Grimley 21-11 21-13. The Irish didn’t get their best level out today. Paul Reynolds will be back on court with Rachael Darragh tomorrow in mixed doubles.
