Jason Quigley (14-0, 11KOs) is likely to make his ring return in mid-October.
Quigley had a possible WBA world title bout against Ryōta Murata taken away when Murata was ordered to fight mandatory challenger Rob Brant.
However, the Ballybofey middleweight is now set to get back into the squared circle next month.
Quigley has not fought since his Easter weekend stoppage of Daniel Rosario in Boston.
That was a comeback for Quigley, who spent a year out after sustaining a hand injury the previous year on his way to winning the NABF middleweight title.
The Golden Boy Promotions prospect is now working under Dominic Ingle in Sheffield and is ready for action again.
Quigley looks likely to be an ESPN-televised headline bout on a Golden Boy card on October 18 at Fantasy Springs Resort, Indio.
