The Mulroy Winter Links competition tees off on Saturday 19th at the Rosapenna Golf Resort.
Entry fee  into this premier golfing event will be a joining fee of €15 and on the day of competitions  €10 for members of both Rosapenna and Portsalon golf clubs and €20 for visitors.  Â
Both members of Rosapenna , Portsalon and visitors should note that if you unable to play on the day please ensure that your name is removed for the time sheet, thus allowing someone else a place in this prestigious event. Â Due to the large number of entries all members are asked to adhere to their tee times.
The Mulroy Links is an open competition with the usual prizes on offer. The winner of the Wednesday open staged on 9 th  was Joe Coyle (7 ) Portsalon 35 points Runner up: Eamon O’Donnell (12)  Letterkenny 35  points Gross: Ben Mc Grath  (5) Letterkenny  29  points, 3rd Ian Morton (12) Portsalon 34 points.The CSS was 35 points. On Saturday the winner of the open competition was  Ben Browne (17) Belvoir Park 34 points  Runner up: Eamon Mc Dermott (4) Portsalon 33 points.Third: Dermuid Coll (19) Portsalon 32 points. The CSS was 33 points. On Sunday the winner of the members competition was Eamon mc Dermott (4) 42 points  Runner up James Sandilands  (20) 40 points Gross Kevin mc Gonagle (6) 32 points, 3rd Paddy Mc Groarty (12) 37 points. The CSS was 37 points.

Team News
It was a almost a case of the great escape as Portsalon (pictured above) hosted the return leg of the final of the Donegal League. Having travelled to Bundoran the week earlier the Portsalon team were defeated by five matches to nil. So with a mamouth task of a turnaround the teams too to the Portsalon Banks on Saturday last.
With four matches already in and the holes turnaround complete it was down to the final remaining match on the 18th. At this satge Portsalon jeeded a win, however the match ended all square and Bundoran were crowned Donegal League champions. The Captain Paul Armstrong would lie to congratulate Bundoran on their success and a special thanks to the Portsalon team captain and all the players who represented Portsalon in this seasons competition.
Past Captains
Calling all past captains of Portsalon golf club, the prestigious J J Wall Past  Captain’s cup will be staged at Portsalon Golf Club  on Saturday 19th September and the first tee is reserved for the past captains from 1.30 p.m. A time sheet is in operation for all competitions contact 0749159459.
