Anthony Thompson contributed handsomely to Naomh Conaill in their 2-15 to 2-10 success over Glenswilly with a goal and a point going forward and a disciplined defensive performance.
St Eunan’s were struggling to begin with in the first half against Bundoran at O’Donnell Park but the decision of manager David McGinley to move Conall Dunne into the forwards was a key factor in the 2-13 to 1-8 win.
Eamon McGee scored a rare point in the Donegal colours at Croke Park and then the Gaoth Dobhair midfielder followed that up with two fine scores from play against Termon on Monday, including the winning point.
Kilcar have started the season like a house of fire and so has Patrick McBrearty, who scored 0-10 0 including five points from play against Dungloe in a 1-20 to 2-5 home win in Towney.
In Division 3, Conor McBrearty was the stand-out player as he scored more than any other player all weekend with 2-5 in Letterkennny Gaels’ 4-7 to 1-12 success over Naomh Colmcille.
