HISTORY WILL be made on Sunday when gridiron comes to Donegal for the first time as the Donegal-Derry Vipers play their first game in the county.
Until now, the Vipers have been playing at Drumahoe in Derry, but on Sunday afternoon Colaiste Ailigh plays host to their massive game against the Galway Warriors at 2pm.
The Vipers are 3-0 so far this season, their second competing in IAFL 2.

[adrotate group=”77″]Having had a steep learning curve last year when they won one of their five games, the Vipers – coached by Jason Brock and led by quarter-back Nic Young, a native of Minnesota – have hit the ground running this term.
Wins over Razorbacks (27-0), the Warriors (24-6) and the North Dublin Pirates (26-6) mean they’ve three wins out of three and a win in Sunday’s history-making game would guarantee them a place in the Bowl final, which could also be hosted in Donegal.
Vipers founder member and running back Cathal Curran, who hails from Newtowncunningham, quarter-back Young, safety Pauric Rose from Ballybofey, tightend Colm Kelly from Frosses and tightend Darren Gibson of Convoy joined us on this week’s podcast to look ahead to the game, talk about the season so far and their journey to here.
