Rather than tackle the 72km drive, the Buncrana GAA team availed of the Lough Swilly Ferry to travel to their Division 3 fixture at Gaeil Fhánada yesterday.
It proved to be plain sailing all-round as Buncrana scored an 11-point win in Portsalon that keeps their promotion hopes alive.
Caolan McGonagle, who is on the Donegal senior panel, scored two of the goals in a 3-15 to 0-13 win.
John Campbell kicked 1-6 while Darach O’Connor weighed in with three points.
Buncrana were four up at half-time, as Campbell’s goal had them 1-11 to 0-10 in front.
McGonagle led the way with a pair of majors in the second half.
