Club members, visitors and guests enjoyed glorious sunshine last weekend for Denis Coyle’s 2020 President Prize at Cloughaneely Golf Club.
There was a great turnout for all competitions and it was great to see so many old and new faces supporting Denis on his big day.
There were a number of Members tipped to perform well and it was Seán O Gallchóir who was joint leading qualifier on Saturday afternoon with 40 points that went on to add another 20 points in the 9 hole playoff to win by 6 points overall to win his first ‘major’ competition at the club.
It was great to see the Ladies Prize going to Breda McGeady in her first major competition.
Young Shane Corless shot the lights out for a massive 48points to win the student prize great shooting.

The Visitors Prize went to Michael McGinley, Dunfanaghy with Paul Roarty, Gaoth Dobhair, in second place.

The Annual Golf Classic is coming up soon on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August. €80 per team with timesheet now open with excellent prizes on offer.
