Representatives from the Under-7s team up to the Under-16s were in attendance on the night along with parents and guardians and enjoyed a wonderful 2 course meal and were able to look back on some of the events throughout the year on the screens with a picture slideshow to keep everyone entertained.
Mickey McMahon acted as MC for the night, with coaches and helpers honoured for giving of their time to mentor the star of the future.
Helping to present the awards were Sean MacCumhaills’ own Donegal Senior Footballer Oisin Gallen and Donegal Senior Hurler Lee Henderson.
Both of these men were asked to say a few words to the young footballers and hurlers in attendance and the themes were the same: Work hard, practice and give it your all.
Minor Board Chairman Mark Cannon and Club Chairman Terry O’Reilly addressed the attendance and both expressed their delight at the success of the evening and how wonderful it was to see such a large crowd enjoying the occasion.
Paddy Mullen organised the event and had a good team to ensure the night ran smoothly.
The night finished with a Disco by DJ Marty Temple and no doubt there will be a few tired kids who went home well ready for their beds!
MacCumhaills thanked Chris and Tommy Gallen and all the staff for the great food and service in making it such an enjoyable night.
