Picture special: Cumann na Bunscoil handball finals in Glenfin

The Allianz Cumann na Bunscoil handball finals were played this week in Glenfin.

Everything that is good about handball was on display. There were eight county finals played in what was a very enjoyable day. The results of the day’s action are as follows:

U 11 Girls Singles Katrina McKinney (Tooban) defeated Amy Dorrian (SN An Choimín) by the narrowest of margins. 11-7, 8-11.

U 11 Girls Doubles Aibigh Nic Meanaman & Shauna Ní Gloin (Coimín) showed great skill to defeat their opponents from Dromore NS.

U 11 Boys Singles Seaghan Mac Chormaic (SN Taibhòige) showed his talent when defeating Caolan Duffy of Dromore NS.

U 11 Boys Doubles Eoin Cassidy & Killian McPhelim (Rockfield) were impressive when defeating Dromore NS in the final.

U 13 Girls Doubles Aibhe Nic Meanaman & Katelyn Nic A tSeachlainn (Coimín) defeated Sessiaghoneill NS in a strong showing.

U 13 Girls Singles Ava Doherty (Rockfield) defeated Tooban NS and captured her second county title in the sport.

U 13 Boys Singles Oisín Mag Fhloinn

(Coimín) had to be on song to defeat Oisín Duffy of Dromore NS.

U 13 Boys Doubles Cormac Ò Cnaimhsí & James Mag Fhloinn (Coimín) were impressive and defeated Dromore NS in what was a close fought encounter.

All county winners will now progress to the Ulster Finals on Thursday 8th February in Belfast
