PADDY BRENNAN Jnr was the winner of the New Year’s Day 5k in Raphoe.
Hosted by the Raphoe Road Runners, the race attracted a big crowd with almost 400 people taking part.

Finn Valley AC’s Brennan came home in 15 minutes and 30 seconds.
Gerard Gallagher, also of Finn Valley, was second in 15:43 with Michael Black (16:03) in third.
Darragh Crossan, a Raphoe man running for Foyle Valley, was fourth and Adam Speer was in fifth,
Maria McCambridge (Dundrum South Dublin) was the winner of the women’s race, finishing ahead of Letterkenny AC pair Natasha Adams and Eimear Wiseman.Â
