TEAM SKY HAS confirmed Philip Deignan’s participation in the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.
The four-day event takes place in Italy, with five stages. Gatteo, in north-east Italy, will host the first stage – 1a – this Thursday over 95.9km before a 13.3km team time trail that afternoon – stage 1b. Sunday’s final stage – stage 4 – is 163.3km in Pavullo.
Deignan and Sebastian Henao both selected in a team built around the overall ambitions of Mikael Landa.
Landa will lead Team Sky at the Giro d’Italia in May.
