PHILIP DEIGNAN on Saturday finished in 62nd place overall at the seven-stage Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour (Tour of Poland).
The Letterkenny native (pictured above) rolled in 49:13 minutes behind winner Spaniard Ion Izagirre (Movistar), who wasthe winner following yesterday’s final stage at the Rynek Glowny in Krakow.
A dramatic final day time trial saw Izagirre jump from sixth place to first on the 25-kilometre stage to pip Deignan’s teammate, Team Sky’s Sergio Henao.
Deignan came home 4:33 minutes behind stage winner, Marcin Bialoblocki from Poland, in 107th.
