Two Letterkenny-based kickboxers turned in impressive performances at pro kickboxing show in Belfast this evening,
Peak Physique’s Hamayun Nassiry defeated Belfast’s Adam Craig at 62kgs and Gareth Craig drew his 68kgs bout against James Ireland.
The Peak Physique pair were in action in a show held at the Queen’s Hall in Belfast.
Nassiry dominated all three rounds against Craig to take a well-earned win.
His coach, Abdul El Absy, says Nassiry will now be in action in the Mayhem Promotions-hosted event in Derry in April.
Gareth Craig, from Raphoe, had to settle for a draw against Belfast man James Ireland at 68kgs.
Craig had three solid rounds behind him and looked set for the win until he conceded a point right at the end.
“I am very proud of the two Peak Physique kickboxers,” Abdul El Absy said.
“It was a fantastic show and we were well looked after by Billy Murray and his team.”
Nassiry will be on the Mayhem Promotions card in April, when Peak Physique’s Paul McNamee will also be in action. McNamee is closing in on a title shot and a win in April would boost those chances.
El Absy said: “Anyone who wants to give kickboxing a go, or who wants to train to get fit can get in touch with me through Facebook and they can start straight away.”
