Finn Harps assistant manager Paul Hegarty says they aim to add ‘one or two’ more new faces before the new season kicks off.
In just two weeks’ time, Harps host Cork City in the first game of the new campaign.
Harry Doherty, Jonny Bonner, Killian Cantwell, Caolan McAleer and Danny Morrissey have been signed, while Ciaran O’Connor has joined on a short-term loan deal from Dundalk.
“We’d like to get another one or two in, but it depends on what’s available and who wants to come in,” Hegarty said after last night’s 2-0 win over Institute.
“You want to come out of pre-season with no injuries. Touch wood, come the start of the season, they’ll all be ready to go. We’re quite satisfied with what we’re doing.”

After scoring both goals in last week’s 2-1 win over the Inishowen League, Morrissey and O’Connor were on the mark at the Riverside Stadium last night again.
Hegarty said: “To be fair, the boys worked really, really hard. You can see that they’re still finding their feet and finding their sharpness, but they played some very good stuff. We have a long way to go. We need to get a bit fitter than we were last season.
“You can’t argue with the workrate and those two boys’ attitudes to training is first class; they burst a gut out there.
“What we were expecting was for them to bring quality – which they have done – but they also have brought workrate, which is very important in the position that we’re in.”
