PATRICK MCBREARTY has been shortlisted for a top award.
McBrearty hit eleven points last Saturday as Donegal overcame Cork in a Round 4B qualifier at Croke Park and has been nominated for the GAA/GPA July Player of the Month, sponsored by Opel.
McBrearty caught fire as Donegal won 0-21 to 1-15, scoring seven of 11 points from play.
The Kilcar man has been shortlisted alongside Tipperary’s Michael Quinlivan and Clare’s Gary Brennan.
McBrearty was narrowly out of luck in the voting for the GAA’s Player of the Week.
