LAST NIGHT’S game against Longford Town wasn’t too memorable for Finn Harps – but for defender Packie Mailey it was a landmark night.
The Convoy native was playing for Harps for the 150th time on a night when Harps fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat, their seventh loss in a row.
Mailey is only the 32nd player in Harps’ history to reach the milestone.
Having returned from a spell in Scotland, where he played on loan at Stenhousemuir from Hibernian, he made his Harps debut against Sligo Rovers in May 2009.

Mailey has scored eight goals in his Harps career (pictured above celebrating a goal against St Patrick’s Athletic in the 2014 FAI Cup semi-final) and he’s the sixth member of Ollie Horgan’s squad to reach the 150 game mark with Ciaran Gallagher, Keith Cowan, Ciaran Coll, Michael Funston and Kevin McHugh all having played more.
