There is a change of venue for this evening’s Oscar Traynor Trophy quarter-final between Donegal League and Limerick.
The big game was due to take place under the floodlights of the Donegal League’s headquarters at The Diamond Park in Ballyare.
However, a lunchtime pitch inspection has ruled The Diamond Park unplayable. A covering of snow was removed from the surface, which was frozen beneath and deemed too dangerous.
The game, which kicks off at 8pm, will now be played at An Screaban, home of Gweedore Celtic.
The news comes on a day when ALL action in the Donegal Saturday League was wiped out due to the weather.
The games included a potential Orchard Inn Division 2 clincher with Kildrum Tigers’ clash against Drumoghill off after both The Moss and Station Road Park were frozen.
