Ciaran O’Connor, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Finn Harps from Dundalk, is set to sign for Bohemians.
O’Connor scored five goals for Harps and was recalled back to Oriel Park at the weekend with his loan deal expiring on Friday.
Harps manager Ollie Horgan had been keep to retain O’Connor’s services for the remainder of the campaign.
However, O’Connor – who turns 21 – is now poised to sign for Bohs. The Gypsies have managed to move away from the relegation zone in recent weeks and see the capture of O’Connor as giving them a chance of climbing further up the standings.
Harps have already seen Thomas McMonagle and Michael Funston leave the club during this season and Horgan is keen to add new bodies in the transfer window.
Horgan said: “On behalf of Finn Harps I would all like to thank Ciaran for the commitment he gave us in the League of Ireland Premier Division this season and we wish him well in his career going forward.”
