Fanad United and Bonagee United completed their North West Women’s Super League campaign on Thursday evening with Bonagee coming out on top in an entertaining game played in blustery conditions.

Bonagee started on the front foot and had the first chance of the game after 10 minutes when Shannon McBride seen her shot form the edge of the box well saved by Rosheen McGinley.
Bonagee continued to push and took the lead on the half hour mark. Chantelle Grant swung in a dangerous free kick from the right which was met by Niamh McGlinchey who scored from seven yards.
Ten minutes later Zoe Green struck a free kick from 30 yards which was well held by Clare Friel in the Bonagee nets.
Two minutes into the second half McBride sent Natalie McFadden through but her shot went wide of the Fanad post.
Bonagee extended their lead three minutes later when Lyndsay McElchar broke the offside trap and fired into the top corner.
In the 65th minute Zoe Green saw another free kick for Fanad go just over the bar.
With time running out Bonagee got their third goal. Grant was again the architect when her free into the box was met by sub Deborah Kerrigan who scored.
