LETTERKENNY ATHLETIC CLUB’S Natasha Adams was second in a field estimated to be of 35,000 at the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin today.

Siobhan O’Doherty from Tipperary and Adams locked together at the halfway point on the Stillorgan road. In the end, there was just three seconds in it, with O’Doherty crossing the line in 34 minutes and 30 seconds followed by Adams in 34.33.

Sarah Mulligan of host club Dundrum South Dublin was third in 35.28, followed by Orla Drumm of Crusaders and last year’s winner Maria McCambridge of Dundrum South Dublin and formerly of Letterkenny Athletic Club.
