On Saturday last the Annual Darren McGinley Memorial Tournament was held in Pairc na Gael.
Teams from Dungloe and Glenswilly came to compete against our ladies teams a fantastic day of football was the order if the day with some great games and skills on display Dungloe and Naomh Columba A contesting the Cup Final and Glenswilly and Naomh Columba B contesting the shield final.
Both our mens team played host to Termon last Sunday in the glorious sunshine of Pairc na Geal, our reserves lost out to a strong Termon Side and our Seniors were unlucky not to win but will settle for a point against the league leaders.
Championship action next weekend for our men this coming Sunday on the long journey away to Fanad 1:30pm and 3pm throw ins Best of Luck to the lads.
Both our ladies teams came out on top to do the Double and win both the Cup and Shield with our Ladies Team Captain Laura Cunnea picking up The Brid Mc Ginley Player of the Tournament award.
On Sunday our Óg Sport Team beat Carndonagh and the hosts Dungloe to book a place in the final against Seán Mac Cumhails
Winning on a score line of 8 points to 1-3 our Lads were Crowned Ã’g Sport Champions 2015 the boys now go on to represent the club and County in Ulster in the coming weeks.
Our under-14 boys take on Naomh Mhuire in the Divisional final in Ardara on Wednesday next at 7pm best of luck to the Lads Noel and Ollie.
