On Saturday evening, our Senior Men’s team bowed out of the Junior A Championship at the Quarter Final Stage with a two point defeat to Na Rossa.
Naomh Padraig Lifford led by 0-6 to 0-4 at half time interval; however a much improved second half performance by the men from the Rosses saw them prevail on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-10.
The thirty-third Club Lotto draw of the year took place on Monday the 7th of September at the clubhouse.  The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 14, and 16.  There was no jackpot winner.  Two players matched three of the numbers drawn.  They were: Paul Melaugh (Letterkenny) and Jayden Bogle (Porthall).  Each received €50.
Next week’s jackpot is €2000.
SYRIAN APPEAL
In response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the Club has organised a drop-off-point at the clubhouse in The Roughan for donations. Â Donated items can be left in the prefab building to the right of the main Clubhouse building. Â The gates of the Clubs facilities will remain open at all times over the coming weeks in order to allow people to make donations. Â The following list of items is urgently required:
- Blankets
- Towels
- Tents (Particularly 4 Person Tents and Larger)
- Heavy Duty Rubbish Bags
- Torches
- Candles
- Batteries
- Medicines
- First Aid Kits
- Toiletries
- Winter Clothing (Men, Women, Children)
- Hats, Scarves (Including Head Scarves for Ladies), Coats, Gloves
- Nappies and Baby Wipes
- Shoes for all Ages (Must Be In Reasonable Condition)
