NAOMH MUIRE will host the All-Ireland Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta finals in 2021, it was confirmed tonight.
It will be the first time for the Lower Rosses clubs to stage the All-Ireland finals, with The Banks having hosted the county finals of the competition in 2014.
The Banks has undergone a big transformation in recent times. New floodlights were installed in 2013 and the clubhouse and dressing room facilities were significantly upgraded in time for the 2014 Donegal Comórtas Peile na Gaeltacthta finals.
At a meeting in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties, tonight, Naomh Muire won a vote to host the All-Ireland finals in 2021, staving off competition from Naomh Columba, Gaoth Dobhair, Ardara and Naomh Conaill.
The 2016 Donegal finals of Donegal Comórtas Peile na Gaeltacthta will be held in Glenties while the All-Ireland finals will take place in Baile Bhúirne in Cork.
Donegal next stages the All-Ireland finals in 2018 when Na Dúnaibh play hosts.
