IT WAS a tale of similar emotions at The Banks as Gary Boyle and Paddy McDaid reflected on a dramatic draw between Naomh Muire and Termon.
Daire McDaid’s last-gasp free earned Termon a draw after Naomh Muire looked home and hosed.
Ricky Gallagher’s goal in the second half might have won it for Termon, but they needed McDaid’s free to get the draw.
“We’d be disappointed not to have won it,” Paddy McDaid said.
“It was ding-dong. The goal gave us a wee bit, but fair credit to them they kept coming back. I thought we defended well and we ran the ball well.”
On Daire McDaid, their hero on the night, the Termon boss said: “There are bigger days ahead for him.”
Naomh Muire had led 0-7 to 0-1 at one stage in the first half and Boyle said his men were ‘absolutely gutted’.
“The only positive that we can take is that we’re still alive and kicking,” he said.
