Naomh Conaill had eight points to spare over Gaoth Dobhair last night in this Division 1 encounter at Magheragallon.
Gaoth Dobhair 0-11 Naomh Conaill 3-10
Naomh Conaill remain on the coat tails of Kilcar and St Eunan’s at the head of the pack.
Naomh Conaill did the spadework in the opening period as they led 2-5 to 0-4.
Eunan Doherty netted the opening goal for Martin Regan’s side in the 16th minute and with five minutes to go in the first period Seamus Corcoran was on the end of a fine move to blast past Charles John Doherty in the Gaoth Dobhair goal.
Gaoth Dobhair were energised for the second half and reduced the arrears briefly to three points with Cian Mulligan, Micheál Roarty, Kevin Cassidy and Daire Ó Baoill getting points.
However, Naomh Conaill finished well and, for good measure, Dermot Molloy – the game’s top scorer with 1-3 – netted his team’s third goal in added time.
