NAOMH COLUMBA GOT their Division 2 campaign off to a flier with a 10-point win at Killybegs this afternoon.
Killybegs 0-3 Naomh Columba 1-10
The away team might’ve been facing into the elements in the first half and Eamon Byrne Memorial Park but still went in with a fine 0-5 to 0-1 advantage.
Pauric O’Neill opened the scoring for Naomh Columba before Evan Broderick levelled.
However, Pauric Ward and Declan McGuire scored for a two-point Naomh Columba lead and they were four up at the break thanks to Ryan Gillespie and McGuire knowing over.
Killybegs’ Conor Knox and Gillespie traded points at the start of the second half and O’Neill’s goal for Naomh Columba went a long way to sealing their excellent seasonal start.
