DONEGAL captain Michael Murphy was last night named as Footballer of the Year at the Ulster GAA Presidents Awards last night.
Murphy, who was named as a GAA/GPA All-Star this year, was honoured at the function in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry.
The Glenswilly man had a super campaign for Donegal as he led the way to the retention of the Ulster SFC crown.
Earlier in the year, Murphy helped Donegal to win the Division 2 League title, earning promotion back into Division 1.
Also last night, St Eunan’s referee James Connors was honoured having refereed the 2019 Nicky Rackard final.
