Mona McSharry set TWO new Irish senior records this afternoon at the Irish Short Course Swimming Championships.
McSharry, a Grange native who competes for Marlin’s Swimming Club in Ballyshannon, new ground in the 50m freestyle and 100m individual medley.
McSharry swam in 25.03 seconds in the 50m freestyle. Just two months ago, at the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina, McSharry set her previous best of 25.42.
And McSharry also set a new Irish best in the 100, individual medley, swimming 1:00.66.
That broke Sycerika McMahon’s 1:01.12.
