Mona McSharry is into the semi-finals of the 50m breaststroke at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Copenhagen.
McSharry, who hails from Grange in County Sligo, is attached to the Marlin’s Swimming Club in Ballyshannon.
The European Junior champion advanced today by reaching the semis, as she clocked 30.80.
The 17-year-old holds the Irish Senior Record in the event in 30.19 seconds.
The 50m Breaststroke semis will take place from 4pm (Ireland) with the top eight in each advancing.
McSharry will also go in the 100m and 200m breaststroke, the individual medley and the relay.
