Mixed bag at Brands Hatch – but Kerr still in 6th

Kilmacrennan’s Richard Kerr had a mixed weekend at round two of the British superbike championships at Brands Hatch.

Richard crashed out while in 3rd place in race one on Sunday but made amends on monday taking a fabulous 4th place after leading the opening stages of the race.

The 16 year old had a race long battle with fellow Irish rider Eugene McManus and 0.2 seconds separated the pair at the flag.

Richard now lies 6th in the motostar standings and shows he has the pace to get that elusive race win this year and challenge for the British title
