THE free scoring Kate McClenaghan fired Moville ladies to a first win in the 2020 senior championship.
Moville recorded an excellent 2-17 to 2-8 win over Buncrana at The Scarvey last night.
Moville, who were senior champions in 2016, were propelled to victory by McClenaghan.
McClenaghan (pictured above) blasted two goals and six points for the Carrick Field outfit, while Niamh Hegarty hit six points.
Eimear McLaughlin (2), Shona Kelly, Blaithnaid McLaughlin and Niamh Skelly were also on the mark.
Michelle McDaid rattled in two goals for Buncrana, but it was Moville’s night.
In the Intermediate Championship green group, St Eunan’s defeated St Mary’s, Convoy 1-15 to 1-2 at O’Donnell Park.
Victoria Kelly netted an early goal for St Mary’s, but St Eunan’s led 0-6 to 1-1 at the break.
Anna Flanagan hit the second-half goal as St Eunan’s took charge with Claire Doherty, Niamh Walsh, Naomi McMenamin and Clodagh Brennan all on the scoreboard.
Dina Patton and Amy Bonner excellent for St Mary’s, but St Eunan’s pulled away.
Downings overcame Dungloe in the Junior A Championship. Sinead McBride scored two goals and Áine Gibbons struck the other in a 3-15 to 1-4 win.
