Mr Brian Currie hosted his Captain’s Prize (G.o.Y) last Saturday the 25th  over the Old Tom Morris Links, a great day was had by all the members and visitors followed by the evening function & presentation of prizes.

The Captain’s Prize to Ladies was played in stableford format over Sandy Hills Links.
The winner was Elaine Bonner (23) with 38 pts, second was Celia Doran (33) with 37 pts (BOT), third wasÂ
Carmel Barry (13) 37 pts, the first nine was won by Bernadette North (25) with 19 pts and the second nineÂ
by Sheila Breen (12) with 22 pts.
Golfer of the Year
The top of the golfer of the year table after 3 events is now as follows –

Congratulations to our Mixed Foursomes team who beat Banbridge
3.5-1.5 at Omagh G.C in the last 16 in Ulster last Monday.
Rosapenna will now play Lisburn in the Ulster quarter final
at Castlehume G.C on or before Monday July 18th. Well done toÂ
team captains Terri McBride & Peter Smyth and all the players.

the second round after Dunfanaghy conceded the second leg (4.5-0.5 home result).Â
Rosapenna will play the winners of Murvagh vs Letterkenny in round two.Â

Frank Casey Jnr who lost out to North-West in the last 8 in Ulster last Sunday.Â
Rosapenna beat Portstewart 3-2 in the morning round but the lost the afternoon match 3.5-1.5. Many thanks to all the players who competed for the Senior Cup
team this year.

The Over 50’s team under the stewardship of Garvin Toye hosted Letterkenny
at home last Friday the 24th with the tie ending 2.5-2.5 (1 hole down).
Rosapenna will travel to Letterkenny for the return leg on Friday 8th July.Â

There was a great turnout for the Ladies Open Singles Stableford Competition on Friday 24th June 2016 overÂ
Sandy Hills Links with a total of 68 ladies playing on the day. Â The winner was Marie Hegarty fromÂ
Rosapenna (26) 43 pts, runner-up was Paula Burns from Belvoir Park (32) 41 pts, the gross was won by Maire WalshÂ
from Narin & Portnoo (7) 27 gross pts, third was May McCann from Narin & Portnoo (11) 38 pts, the visitors winnerÂ
was Kathleen Rodgers from Gweedore (13) 38 pts, the first nine was won by Orla Lenny from Rosapenna (17) 21 ptsÂ
and the second nine by Madge Kelly also from Rosapenna (19) 22 pts, nearest the pin winner was Anita Goan fromÂ
Malone (21) and longest drive winner, also from Malone, was Karena Brady (12).
