MICHAEL Naughton has confirmed that he will be a candidate for the next President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA).
Naughton, a former President of the Ulster LGFA, has been a high-ranking official in the ladies game for many years.
Naughton is a former Donegal senior ladies manager, who is also a Fianna Fáil County Councillor in south Donegal. In the summer of 2017, Naughton was selected as the FF candidate to replace the late Sean McEniff.
General Manager of the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny, Naughton is bidding to succeed Marie Hickey as LGFA President.
The LGFA Congress takes place in March in Loughrea, County Galway.
The Ulster LGFA have endorsed Naughton’s bid for the post, which carries a three-year term.
