DONEGAL SPORT HUB are proud to announceĀ a new monthly award, in association with Michael Murphy Sports.
The award will be given to a given sports person who excels in their particular field over the course of every given month, with the winner to be selected byĀ a panel formed byĀ Donegal Sport Hub.
“Donegal is a very sporting county and we’re delighted to be able to help recognise that with the formation of this award,” said Donegal captain Michael Murphy.
“Donegal Sport Hub have been giving widespread coverage to a great range of sports and it is always interesting following the fortunes of Donegal’s sporting people in their given fields.”

“We’re delighted to be associated with Donegal Sport Hub and indeed with Michael Murphy Sports for this award,” said Paul Byrne, the managing director of the Radisson Blu Hotel Letterkenny.
“The website gives a great platform for those of follow sports in the county and this award will reward those who excel. And who better than to work alongside than Michael Murphy, who is a great role-model for anyone with any level of interest in sport.”
On Wednesday night,Ā Donegal Sport HubĀ reached a significant milestone – one million page views – in just over six months since going live.
“It’s been a busy few months but an enjoyable few months,” said Charlie Collins of Donegal Sport Hub. “Thanks to Paul and everyone at the Radisson Blu, Michael and the team and Michael Murphy Sports and everyone else who has advertised or helped us in any way.
“We have a few things in the pipeline for 2016 and the introduction of an awardĀ was something we discussed before Christmas. It’s great to have Michael Murphy, the Donegal captain teaming up with ourselves and the Radisson and no doubt we will have plenty of debate from month to month when trying to decide a winner of this award.”
