Stephen McLaughlin found the net this afternoon as Southend United ended a run of four games without a win.
McLaughlin bagged the opener for the Blues in a 2-0 win over Rotherham United at Roots Hall.
Irish international Simon Cox netted the other.
Cox provided the assist for McLaughlin’s opener, the Inishowen man finishing well after just seven minutes.
Cox doubled the lead late in the game after latching onto a Mark Oxley ball.
In the dying moments, McLaughlin got back to hook a Rotherham effort off the goal-line.
