Patrick McBrearty played the full hour and bagged a late goal as Kilcar overcame Milford in Towney this afternoon in Division 1.
Kilcar 1-18 Milford 0-12
McBrearty was restricted to a substitute’s role last Sunday in Donegal’s Ulster SFC quarter-final win over Antrim, but he was in from the off for his club today and scored 1-5 as they defeated the Moyle View side to stay atop Division 1.
McBrearty and Ashley Carr pointed the way for Barry Doherty’s Kilcar in the first half and they led 0-9 to 0-6 at the break.
The hosts racked up a ten-point lead with America-bound Stephen McBrearty – who recently withdrew from the Donegal senior panel ahead of his upcoming jaunt to the States for the summer – among the scorers.

Late in the day, with two minutes left, Eoin McHugh teed up McBrearty and he fired home.
