MARK McAteer scored 2-4 as Gaeil Fhánada won by ten pouts against Naomh Muire at The Banks last night.

McAteer was in clinical form and his first-half goal was the sole separator at the break, when the visitors led 1-4 to 0-4.
The goal arrived in the third minute and it propelled Gaeil Fhánada to a fine win in their season opener.
Naomh Muire hit back in the early moments of the second half, but Gaeil Fhánada soon reaffirmed their advantage.
Goal number two came after the mid-point of the second period as McAteer surged in to fire past the goalkeeper.
