MAXI Curran will be in charge of the Donegal senior ladies for a fourth year.
Curran was re-instated tonight at the annual general meeting of the Donegal LGFA.
Having been recently appointed as coach to the Gaoth Dobhair senior footballers, it was speculated that Curran might vacate his role as the Donegal ladies boss.
The Donegal LGFA, per procedure, went through an application process again but Curran has been installed again for another term.
For the first year of his involvement, Curran was joint manager with Damian Devaney.
Curran guided Donegal to three Ulster titles and they were All-Ireland semi-finalists in 2018, when they were semi-finalists.
Curran previously managed St Eunan’s in 2014 and 2015 before returning in 2018, when he double-jobbed with the ladies and a similar situation will be in situ in 2021.
Meanwhile, Liam Skelly was ratified as the Donegal Under-16 ladies manager on a two-year term on a night when there were also significant changes on the executive committee.
The AGM was held via Zoom and Gaeil Fhánada’s Siobhan Coyle takes over as the new Chairperson of the Donegal LGFA, succeeding Seamus Herron.
